DRAWING EXPLORATION
drawing and doodling is a unique class that will focus on traditional, and non-traditional drawing techniques getting inspiration from old masters and contemporary artists such as, Jim Dine, Vincent Van Gogh, Keith Haring and more. Think Kehinde Wiley portraits, Takashi Murakami patternmaking, and Edgar Degas figure drawing.

Kids will use oil pastels, chalk, colored pencils, markers, and crayons to create wonderful drawings. Mixed media exploration— clay sculptures kids will use crayon model magic in 2 primary colors and white along with colorful wires, popsicle sticks, google eyes, feathers, glitter to create whimsical creatures.
MOVE YOUR BODY
young artists will use their whole bodies to make art. The kids will create the life-size silhouettes capturing our bodies in motion drawing with our feet and non-traditional projects.
MAGIC FAIRY LANTERN AND WANDS
let the magic begin at the party when friends share and create lantern designs with fairies, gem stickers, glow in the dark paint. The lantern has tea lights for a luminous nightstand lamp. A mini project of making a magic wand that can be decorated with paint gems and glitter. There will be either a floral headband or a project to make a crown.
GEL PRINTMAKING
I will explain how the process is done. We will explore different types of printmaking. relief printmaking, collagraph, stamps. The kids will then ink up the gel, create printed designs using stencils, and found objects to express their creativity and composition of an art monoprint. They will be framed and ready to take home and hang on the wall.
STYROFOAM PRINTMAKING
kids will create three own stamps and use them in a print design.
COLLAGE/ASSEMBLEAGE
kids will use colored paper, magazines, tissue paper, paper stickers, mono prints, all unique found objects.
SCULPTURE
kids will create free standing sculptures using wood, colorful wire, bead, pipe cleaners, foam stickers. I will talk about famous sculptors and show them how they came up with their ideas.
MYTHICAL CREATURES
Unicorns, dragons, fairies, the kids will create two and 3-d creatures’ inspiration from books, artists, and their own imagination.
